Age Guidelines
Age guidelines can sometimes be difficult to understand.
To help make this easier, please Use the birth date age calculator in the green icon and then refer to the chart below. NOTE this is a difference between Player Age classification versus Tournament Event Age Divisions.
We offer ODD EVENT AGE divisions as follows 9u,11u, 13u and 15u for Fall Ball and 18u as stated in table below. Then on January 1st of each year we utilize 8u, 10u, 12u, 14/15u, 16u and 18u for EVENT AGE division.
1. A players BIRTH YEAR determines the age classification in which the player is eligible. NOTE for 18u we allow a players born in 2006 between Sept 1-Dec 31 to play.
2. In the Fall season, we utilize mostly ODD birth years (9u, 11u, 13u and 15u) for tournament classifications. A team can choose to play up or down, however we encourage 2nd year players or strong 2nd year teams to play up.

4. All Sanctioned organizations use the same age chart as above. Many independent Tournament Directors use the same table listed above.
5. State Director reserves the right to review all players and teams classifications.
6. There are 6 classifications (A, B, C, All Star, Rec and Women's) that are sanctioned by USSSA nationwide.
